Carmen West | Twenty-five | Straight | OPEN | FC: Gemma Arterton

Biography: Carmen is your typical Type-A personality. She loves things how she loves them with little room for discussion. Her whole life she’s stood in the shadow of her older, more successful brother, Preston. He was always getting the grades and the accolades that accompanied them while she sat by and watched it all happen with her B average and nothing special for her parents to brag about.

As she grew up, she realized that the only way to measure up to her parent’s vision of her brother was to become the perfect daughter. In Carmen’s eyes, perfection was measured in success and organization, both of which Carmen strives for daily. Some would describe her as obsessive and compulsive with her habits but those closest to her accept her and love her for who she is.

Personality: Though she may be picky and demanding at times, Carmen has a heart of gold. She would do anything for her friends and loved ones, and often has. She’s always the shoulder to cry on and ready to whip up some homemade ice cream if a friend needs to drown her sorrows. A kind heart and generosity are what set her apart from the other type A’s out there. She is extremely loyal and giving; always looking for ways to make her friends happy. If, by some chance, she has an opportunity to shine while pleasing her friends, she wouldn’t be one to pass it up!

Preston West | Twenty-eight | Straight | OPEN | FC: Misha Collins

Biography: Preston grew up the golden child of the West family. He had the grades and the charm; he was the one his parents bragged about to their friends. Despite seeming to have it all, Preston always felt like there was more pressure on him to continue to exceed his parent’s expectations and it made him begin to resent them. 

Throughout high school, even though he was significantly older, he had a soft spot for his younger sister Carmen’s best friend Julienne. Knowing of her strong bond with his sister and the fact that she could probably get any guy she wanted, Preston never pursued his interest in her, keeping it from everyone he knew. In college he met and roomed with Drake Alarcon, and eventually became the best of friends. 

Personality: Preston is stubborn and strong-willed, not likely to back down from a challenge. He’s a bit of a geek, knowledgable about science and history, but is also very in tune with modern media and technology. He always has to have the newest gadgets and the newest toy, no matter the cost or if he’ll ever even use it. He has a kind heart and the utmost respect for his elders, a genuine perfect gentleman.

Ben Westerly | Twenty-Nine | Straight | OPEN | FC: Michael Fassbender

Biography: Ben is one of those people who goes through life never truly knowing what they want, he lacked motivation and passion for the most part of his teenage years. He had many girls, but none of them he felt a connection with. A few years later, though, he met a girl who made him feel quite alive, who he could genuinely smile for-Sam. Sam and Ben got married a couple of years after college, but soon enough Ben found himself stuck in a rut again, dazed and confused. It wasn’t Sam, it was him. His white-collar job wasn’t doing it for him, and the routine of married life was boring him. He loved Sam, but he was no longer in love with her. He was soon introduced to Sam’s flirtatious cousin, Alisha, and he found himself wanting her. One thing led to another and they ended up in each other’s beds. She brought him passion and excitement, a thrill, and he found himself falling in love with her.

He’ll never forgive himself for hurting Sam the way he did, but he couldn’t help the way he felt about Alisha. Now engaged to the younger cousin, Ben only hopes that down the track he doesn’t lose interest again as he always seems to. He doesn’t know why, but he always does. Every time he thinks he’s found the most important thing in his life, it ends up not being enough until he finds the next thing. Ben was on the Atlantic Star for his bachelor party, while his bride-to-be was having her bachelorette party downstairs. Perhaps thrown into this crazy situation stranded on the island will put Alisha and Sam’s relationship to the test and show how much they can withstand with one another.

Personality: Ben walks with a mysterious step and talks with low voice that always seems to entice people. He captures the interest of many, but only very few people tend capture his attention. He’s a quiet soul, and spends a lot of his time thinking. Only the people closest to him get to see a humorous, carefree side to him. His quietness tends to make people think he’s snobby, but if you knew Ben you’d know he’s just more of an observer than a talker.

Alisha Sordino | Twenty-Four | Bisexual | OPEN | FC: Mila Kunis

Biography: Alisha was always that girl in school that all the girls wanted to be and all the guys wanted, and some girls too. With her big sparkly eyes, her gorgeous figure and her contagious personality, it was no wonder she was the most popular girl in school. It was always rare that Alisha was single or not dating anybody. Her parents were rich and she was used to getting what she wanted, too bad one of those things was her cousin, Samantha’s, husband. Despite her sometimes shallow exterior, inside all Alisha wanted was for her parents to spend some time with her and stop throwing money at her, and someone to love her for who she was.

Alisha is very spontaneous in her actions and she doesn’t think things through, it’s what makes her so exciting to be around but also very dangerous, and when she got into an affair with Ben, Sam’s ex, she wasn’t really thinking about the strings attached. Ben is the first guy Alisha actually fell for. Always having been wanted for her looks and her money, Alisha didn’t think she’d ever find anybody to love her for her, but once she got to know Ben and he got to know her, she could feel herself falling in love and next thing she knew they were engaged. She never really got along with Sam, as her cousin was always more of the quieter, stay-at-home-and-read-a-book type and Alisha was the one out partying, and even though she won’t show it she wants to make up to her cousin for what she’s done, and she hopes Sam will find the happiness that Alisha stole from her. She hopes that perhaps while they’re on this cruise for her hen night, that her older cousin will find a man.

Personality: From the moment you meet her, you want to get to know Alisha. She draws you in with her huge eyes and smile and her fun-loving laugh. She loves to party, and you’ll never see a frown on her face unless you know her extremely well and get to see a serious side of her. Old habits die hard, and Alisha still has some of her manipulative traits fostered in high school, but they usually only show nowadays when she really wants something. Although she is due to be married, Alisha has tended to have comittment issues in the past, so she hopes that whilst she’s on this cruise for her hens party that she won’t go astray with an attractive man or woman.

Samantha “Sam” Dawes | Twenty-Six | Straight | OPEN | FC: Kristen Bell

Biography: Samantha was always one of those little girls who dreamed of the big fairytale wedding and the prince charming to sweep her off her feet. Now, she is twenty-six years old and divorced to a guy who cheated on her with her cousin. Did we mention he’s now engaged to that cousin?

So, things didn’t go exactly as planned for Sam in life, but that hasn’t stopped her from dreaming, although her hopes are slowly diminishing as she grows older and sometimes they feel gone altogether when she sees her little cousin, Alisha. She has tried to date again, but she still isn’t over her ex and all she needs is someone who makes her forget all about him and make her feel like a princess again. Although many people look forward to hopping aboard the flashy Atlantic Star for a lovely cruise to Bermuda, Sam didn’t. The reason for that being that the cruise is Alisha’s hens party and Sam has been invited. She will grin and bear it, but if you really knew Sam you’d know that as she hangs around the cheery, glowing bride-to-be she just wants to curl up and disappear, or rip her cousin’s hair extensions out, or both. 

Personality: Sam is a pretty girl, but her insecurities sometimes get the better of her and she doubts herself. Before the divorce, she was cheery and crazy, a ball of fun, but since then she’s been a bit quieter, only being herself completely around her very best friends. She’s smart and witty, and when she has the motivation she can fight for what she believes in, but lately she doesn’t know what she believes in, she needs someone to make her feel whole again.

Alyssa Petrova | Twenty-Four | Lesbian | OPEN | FC: Rooney Mara

Biography: Alyssa came from a rough home. She never knew her father and her drug-dependent mother had multiple boyfriends while Alyssa was growing up, some of which abused her and, as she grew older, molested her. She kept to herself at school a lot, and so she had no one to talk to about the horrible occurrences at home; she took her anger out in fighting with others and when she had calmed down, she escaped in her drawings. She eventually ended up on the inevitable path of drugs and alcohol, but never to the extent of her mother. She would take pills occasionally, but Alyssa is tough and she tells herself she has control of things. She is a chain-smoker, however.

She struggled finding a job, as no one would take her seriously considering her background, and so it can be said that Alyssa has turned to more illegal methods of making money; dealing drugs and scamming people. By the time she was 16 she had run away from home, sick of the horrors she faced there, and she slept on the street or in abandoned houses. One day she spotted a huge cruise ship park itself near where she was living and decided it could be her method of escape from her shitty life. So Alyssa is a stowaway on the Atlantic Star, and no one has figured it out yet.

Personality: Alyssa is a reserved individual, it takes a lot to break into her hard exterior. She hasn’t really trusted anyone in her entire life, so if you gained her trust you could probably call yourself the luckiest person in the world. Despite her quiet demeanor, when Alyssa gets angry, she gets angry  and she could probably leave a grown man crying for his mommy if he got on her bad side. Alyssa is insanely smart, despite the fact she never had a proper education, and she notices things others don’t. She doesn’t believe in love and her heart is darkened from all she’s been through, but if someone was in need of her help she wouldn’t hesitate to help them.
